Congratulations to Team 1 from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business for winning the RSM Real World Challenge in Calgary on March 15th.
The team took home a $5000 prize. $1000 went to each member and $1000 went to the Accounting Students’ Association (ASA).
Second place went to Team 3 from the University of Calgary.

The Accounting Student Association (ASA) at Simon Fraser University is challenging to its members to come up with a slogan for its business cards.
ASA is looking for a slogan that reflects its identity and the experience of being an accounting student at SFU.
Deadline is April 1st.

Congratulations to business students at ten universities for raising $119,603.27 as part of the annual Five Days for the Homeless campaign.
From March 10th and March 14th, participants lived “homeless” on campus by sleeping outside with only a pillow, a blanket and food donated to them.
The money will go to local charities.
CGA Ontario is holding an online accounting contest on March 19th at 4:00 p.m.
You must register by March 18th.
Winners will receive cash prizes of up to $5,000 and scholarship money towards the CGA program of professional studies.
Last year’s tier one winner was Adele McGee, a student at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business.
